The Bardsley Fund directly benefited 180 people in Greater Manchester through its award giving this month.

Bardsley Construction Ltd has held a fund with Forever Manchester since 1999. The family-run business, founded by Roland Bardsley Snr, is now led by his son, Roly, who encourages staff to participate in fundraising activities to donate more cash to the fund. Their fundraising exploits have included a golf day in July which raised over £2,000.

This month Bardsley supported 3 local groups that are making positive change in their areas. Crystal Hope Foundation Supplementary School in Gorton aims to remove the barriers to learning by providing a safe and supportive environment for students who need a little extra support. Hollywood FC in Denton provides football training and team opportunities in a healthy but challenging environment. Trafford Hard of Hearing supports adults with hearing loss through services including advice sessions, lip reading classes and finger spelling classes. Collectively these groups will benefit at least 180 people with the help of the Bardsley funding.

Roly Bardsley says, “Bardsley is delighted to have its own fund with Forever Manchester. We are committed to helping to support grassroots community groups across Greater Manchester demonstrating local support in the areas where Bardsley works.”
