Thanks to Our Birthday Bash Sponsors

February 2, 2016

We’d like to say a big thank you to the eleven businesses that have kindly sponsored various aspects of our Birthday Bash this Friday.

Sponsorship of the event not only helps us to deliver the event itself, but it also enables us to invite representatives from local community groups who we have helped support throughout the year.

Metronet UK, an Internet service provider based at Manchester Science Park, is once again our headline sponsor. Sian Ciabattoni Marketing Director at Metronet explains “We are committed
to supporting local charities that make a real difference, so it’s fantastic to once again be able to sponsor Forever Manchester’s Annual Birthday Bash and celebrate everything that is good about
Manchester.”

We are delighted to welcome back Kyocera as programme sponsor for the second year running. Kyocera is one of the world’s leading document output management companies with offices in central Manchester. Gail Duffy from Kyocera Manchester said: “We’re looking forward to attending the event to celebrate the fantastic work of grassroot community groups.”

Our Ticket Sponsors this year is Beever and Struthers, a Chartered Accountants specialising in audit, tax and financial planning based on Chester Road in Manchester.

Tim Cocker and Jim Salveson of XFM fame will both be our compere and DJ on the night. They have been kindly sponsored by The Barker Baker, a new artisan bakery, deli and bottle shop, based in Littleborough. Fran Barker said: “Forever Manchester is facilitating our communities in bringing them together in a way that no other charity does. I’m proud to be supporting such a brilliant event.”

We will be presenting four awards at the event to recognise people, groups and companies for their efforts to Forever Manchester and their support to local communities. Corporate Supporter of the Year Award – sponsored by Manchester Building Society. Allan Hodges, Chief Executive at Manchester Building Society, said: “We are delighted to sponsor an award that celebrates and recognises fellow local businesses that are pro-actively supporting Forever Manchester.”

This is the Place award – sponsored by Kellogg’s. April Armstrong, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at Kellogg’s said: “We are delighted to sponsor this Award. After all, this is the
place where Kellogg’s established its UK operations over 75 years ago, this is the place where our staff live, work and play, and this is the place that we call home.”

Inspirational Community Group Award – sponsored by CDL. Peter Larkham, HR Director at CDL, said: “We sponsored this category last year and were impressed
with the fabulous work of the community groups that were shortlisted.”

Captain Manchester Award – sponsored by Autotrader. Diane Quinn at AutoTrader said “The event celebrates everything that is good about Greater Manchester and, having moved a larger
number of our staff to Manchester last year, we felt it was appropriate we recognise the Mancunian spirit that’s welcomed us.”

On the night we will also have a PhotoBooth and Twitter wall for guests to get involved with.

The Photobooth is sponsored by Express Solicitors. Carole Jones, Express Solicitors Partner “We really enjoyed the Birthday Bash last year, so this year we wanted to demonstrate our
commitment to supporting local community projects. People have lots of fun at the photobooth so it’s nice to be associated with people enjoying themselves at the event.”

Glocal PR Agency, Weber Shandwick will be sponsoring the Twitter Wall. Jo Leah, Managing Director said: “We’re all looking forward to celebrating with Forever Manchester at their Annual
Birthday Bash – Get tweeting: #FMBdayBash.”
