Christmas is coming, which means Santa is too!

This November why not run with the family around Media City UK dressed as Santa to raise money for Forever Manchester?

Last year’s event saw a giant panda geeing up the crowd to Gangnam Style before the run. This year the event is taking place on 30th November and is always a great day out for the family.

The run will begin at 10.15am outside the BBC offices at Media City, run through The Lowry Plaza at The Lowry Outlet Mall, over the bridge, past the Imperial War Museum and over the Manchester Ship Canal via the bridge before finishing back at Media City UK covering a distance just under 5k.

The day will also kick off the opening of the ice rink at Salford Quays, where Santa’s helpers are given the exclusive opportunity to skate first in their Santa suits between 11.15am-12pm for just £7 (£5 for under 16s).

To take part there is only one rule – you can be any shape, size and  fitness, but you must wear a Santa suit.

The Santa Run entry fee is £15 for adults and £10 for children, or if you are using your own suit then the entry fee is £10 for adults and £6 for children.

All runners will receive a medal and children will also receive a selection box (but we’re sure they’ll share with the adults).

Family tickets are also available prices at:

£26 with own suit (minimum of two people, maximum of four).

£40 without own suit (minimum of two people, maximum of four).
