Raffles Raise Nearly £400 for FM

February 22, 2016

This month two raffles have taken place to raise money for Forever Manchester accounting to nearly £400.

Businesses and organisations raising money for us in many ways is always greatly appreciated and a huge thank you goes to both the MPA and MYP.

Manchester Publicity Association (MPA) recently hosted a lunch at the Yang Sing, which saw nearly 200 of their members come together. Forever Manchester was delighted to be the chosen charity for the lunch, which raised £240 in a raffle thanks to the great prizes on offer, including a Cantonese cooking class at the Yang Sing and a hamper.

The Manchester Publicity Association is a collaborative, not-for-profit membership organisation comprising over 2,500 people. They aim to bring together, support and collaborate with the creative and media industry in Manchester and we at Forever Manchester are thankful to the organisation for choosing to support us.

This month, Manchester Young Professionals (MYP) have also been busy, with a recent event at Revolucion de Cuba. Nearly 750 people attended the event, which also held a raffle for Forever Manchester raising £155. As well as Manchester Young Professionals, thanks goes to Grain as well as Ambassador Duane Cormell, who helped us to sell raffle tickets on the evening. Raffle prizes were kindly donated by Revolucion de Cuba.

Andrew Bennie, Investment Manager at Forever Manchester’s Corporate Partner Brooks MacDonald ran the networking event, many thanks goes to him for choosing Forever Manchester. Manchester Young Professionals is a new networking opportunity for young people across Manchester to come together and network in an engaging environment.
