The prestigious accolade recognises outstanding contributions made to local communities by groups voluntarily devoting their time for the benefit of others and we’re proud to say that Greater Manchester boasts the largest number of award recepients throughout the whole country.
In the last 25 years Forever Manchester has distributed £35million, benefiting 1.1million people across Greater Manchester, and we are delighted to see groups in Greater Manchester being recognised for their hard work with such a prestigious award.
It is apt that it is the kind-heartedness of the region that has been recognised by the Queen, with hundreds of volunteers involved in these groups on a weekly basis being rewarded for the tireless work that they do, week in, week out.
Groups like these make a huge difference to the communities they’re part of, which is why we are so passionate about funding local people who are doing extraordinary things.
If you’d like to help us to fund more groups across the region, DONATE TODAY to make a real difference to your area.
