This Sunday will see the Greater Manchester Bake Off in Albert Square.
There’ll be a competition for those serious bakers out there, but alongside this Forever Manchester will have a marquee selling cakes made by our lovely supporters.
If you consider yourself Manchester’s answer to Mary Berry, get baking and we can sell your cakes to raise money to help the people across Greater Manchester doing extraordinary things together.
Don’t consider yourself a baker? No problems! We’re sure you’re very good at eating cake…if you consider yourself a top class cake eater, head to Albert Square this Sunday to find our team of volunteers who are selling cakes to raise money for community groups across Greater Manchester. Basically, what we’re encouraging here is that you stuff your face for a good cause!
This event ties in with Manchester Food and Drink Festival’s Great Manchester Bake Off’s final, which will take place on the same day. As well as helping out Forever Manchester, if you head down on the day you can learn some new baking skills from Richard Burr from 2014’s Great British Bake Off, who will be headlining the baking demos on the day.
We look forward to seeing you down there on the day covered in icing with bulging buttons because you’ve eaten too much.
