Hard Rock Cafe and The Printworks ‘Live From The Hive’ Honey Raises £1,000

August 2, 2016

‘Live From The Hive’ honey, made by the city’s hardest-working bees on top of the Printworks, have helped to raise an incredible £1,000 for Forever Manchester.

Following a fruitful honey harvest, The Printworks together with the Hard Rock Cafe Manchester’s ‘Live From The Hive’ sold over 200 jars of honey. In total £2,000 was raised of which £1,000 was donated to Forever Manchester and the Booth Centre.

The Printworks’ rooftop garden, which includes an allotment, herb garden and orchard, was launched in partnership with Hard Rock Cafe Manchester in 2012 and is now home to over 320,000 bees across four hives.

Emma Livingstone from Hard Rock Cafe and Fred Booth from The Printworks, both Forever Manchester Ambassadors, are fully qualified apiarists who nurture and tend to the bees on a weekly basis.
