Manchester Arena have once again demonstrated their incredible generosity by donating 20 tickets for a recent John Legend concert. The tickets were distributed by our Community Builder, Lisa Brown, to community groups across Oldham, Salford, Trafford and Manchester.

Nilo Yaftaly from Oldham helps her local community by using the five languages she speaks to provide translation free of charge as a community researcher. Nilo was put forward to train as a community researcher after meeting Forever Manchester’s Community Builder Lisa Brown at a pop-up event.

Nilo expressed her thanks to Forever Manchester and our long-time supporters, Manchester Arena, saying: “Thank you to Manchester Arena and Forever Manchester for giving this amazing opportunity to see John Legend  with my family and friends. We will remember this day forever… Me and my friends had a lot of fun.”

In addition to his full-time day job, Wayne Hurst is a coach for the Chaddy Park Griffins and volunteers as Chaddy the Owl for Oldham Athlectic.

Wayne said: “Thank you so much to the team at Forever Manchester and the Arena for the tickets to see John Legend. It was a very rare evening where myself and Hannah actually had a night to ourselves and not be working on something related to coaching sports, so it was made even more special to be thanked for all we do whilst having a fantastic night out at the Arena for an amazing concert. Thank you to everyone involved it will go down as a night to remember!”

A big thank you to Manchester Arena from all here at Forever Manchester!
