Hard Rock Cafe have been awarded their ‘Greater Manchester Heroes’ placard this week.

Throughout 2014 Hard Rock have raised £2,000 for Forever Manchester by doing various activities, beginning with the pin badge launch earlier this year, where they designed and sold a Hard Rock limited edition pin badge to celebrate our 25th birthday. The Cafe’s staff also took part in our FM Abseil down The Printworks in September, as well as hosting our abseilers in the Cafe while they waited to take the plunge for no charge and Jack Barton did a sky dive in the summer too. In October they hosted their Honey Bee launch, which raised funds for ourselves and the Booth Centre.

Hard Rock Cafe’s efforts are thanks to Ambassador Emma Livingstone, who is their Sales & Marketing Manager. Emma is a credit to our Ambassador network and raises awareness about Forever Manchester within her sector and beyond.

As well as all of the fundraising done for us in 2014 Hard Rock Cafe are one of our Corporate Partners and Manchester Million supporters.

Chief Exec, Nick Massey visited the Hard Rock team this week to thank them for all of their hard work. Of the Hard Rock’s support he said: “It’s great to have the support of a global brand like Hard Rock supporting Forever Manchester. The Manchester Cafe really understands the importance of giving back to communities and supporting the local neighbourhoods around Manchester, where most of their staff and diners live. They have been a great supporter of ours throughout 2014 and we’re delighted have them on board.”

The Cafe was awarded their placard by Nick to thank them for all of their efforts in fundraising and helping to raise awareness of Forever Manchester. All funds raised by Hard Rock Cafe will go back into supporting local people doing extraordinary things across Greater Manchester.
