Our resident adrenaline junkie, Darren Ratcliffe has got together a team of FM supporters to take on the world famous Tough Mudder.
On 12th September, a team of eight Forever Manchester supporters will jump into truckloads of ice, crawl through tear gas, be electrocuted and climb 10ft walls around what is billed as the world’s toughest obstacle race.
Ambassador Darren Ratcliffe took on the challenge last year as part of his 12in12 Challenge and has now roped in other victims, sorry…fundraisers to tackle the course next weekend.
The 10 mile assault course will be ran (or attempted) by Ambassadors Darren Ratcliffe, Suzie Lewis, and Ric Brooks alongside Forever Manchester supporters Ste Dyson, Jim Clarke, Chris Townsend, Sam Stonier and Carl Cordock.
Suzie Lewis said: “Tough Mudder is going to be a physical and a mental challenge. I’m really looking forward to it, but at the same time I’m quite nervous and and looking forward to seeing that finish line already! As an Ambassador I’m happy to help Forever Manchester out in whichever way I can. We’ve all trained really hard for Tough Mudder and feel ready so we just need people to help us to raise money for a great cause now!”
The team is aiming to raise £250 for Forever Manchester and is so far half way there but they need your help! If you’d like to support the Forever Mudder team please head to their JustGiving page here.
Forever Manchester would like to thank the Forever Mudder team, who are quite literally going to give blood, sweat and tears for Forever Manchester next week. We look forward to seeing the post-event photos.
If you’re taking part in Tough Mudder look out for our team and give a helping hand.
Best of luck Forever Mudderers!
