It’s the fourteenth Charity Times Awards in October and guess what? We’ve been shortlisted for an award.

We’re over the moon to have been nominated in the Big Society category, which recognises organisations that empower communities and promote social action by encouraging people to be more involved in their neighbourhoods and to volunteer.

This is the Forever Manchester ethos through which we’ve been rolling out our strength-based approach to community development over the last 18 months. We support local people to become more than just the people across the road but active community members, neighbours and friends who achieve extraordinary things together.

Jean Mills, our Head of Business Development, says, “We’re delighted to be shortlisted in this prestigious national awards programme – particularly in this category which is about inspiring local people to be more active in their local areas. This reflects our approach to working in neighbourhoods and connecting communities.”
