theEword is a digital marketing agency, with 38 members of staff specialising in content creation, web design and development, SEO and PPC. The team works with a range of B2B and B2C clients including Genting Casino, TJ Hughes, Warburtons and Visit Blackpool. The business has been based in Manchester since it was established in 2006, and today occupies a large and lively office in Trafford Park.
theEword’s founder and CEO Al Mackin was a Forever Manchester ambassador for two years, before joining the board in January 2014. Al organised the popular Qwerty Quiz in aid of Forever Manchester in 2012, where teams from local businesses pitted their wits against each other in a bid to win a host of donated prizes.
This was followed by theEword organising the first Caketober in 2013. Businesses across Greater Manchester held bake sales and fancy dress days, while a Great Manchester Bake Off was held in the city centre, with the campaign raising over £5,000 in total.
Daniel Nolan, MD of theEword said: “As a business proud to be based in Manchester, we feel it is important to support a charity dedicated to making the lives of the city’s communities better now and for the future. All of our people live in and around Manchester and whether Mancunian by birth or adoption we love raising money for this brilliant cause.”
