Chop Beats Forever on Saturday 22nd June raised a fantastic £1269.
The event, which saw live music from a whole host of local bands and DJs was attended by over 300 people at First Chop Brewing Arm in Salford.
Ambassador Terry Snowden‘s band The Exceptional Remarkables opened the day with a great set to get the crowd going, followed by great sets from other artists including I Am Your Autopilot, Chief of Seattle, False Advertising, Liam Manton, Jamie Joseph, Kelvin Brown and Cloth Ears. The day was headlined by the ever-popular Unabombers.
There was also great food on offer, which meant people didn’t have to leave the venue all day, creating a real buzz. Huge thanks goes to all of the food vendors in attendance, which included Honest Crust Pizza, Fire and Salt BBQ, Splendid Kitchen, Dirty Food Revolution and Ginger Tart. A delicious mix of local Manchester vendors and restaurants that went down a treat!
The whole day was organised by Ambassador Kathleen O’Connor. Huge thanks goes to her, as every penny raised can now be reinvested across Greater Manchester; helping local people to do extraordinary things. Kathleen set herself a target of £1,000 on the day, and we’re very pleased to see she absolutely smashed it, and we’re sure she’s chuffed to bits too!
Huge thanks also goes to Rik Handsome Brewer, Owner of First Chop Brewing Arm for allowing us to use his venue and also for donating all profits from bar takings to us on the day, which raised a great amount of money. Thanks also goes to all of the bands who all played a great gig on the day.
Other good eggs that helped the day come together smoothly were Ted Holden and Dave Bird, Paul Owen and Donna Jenkins.
