CDL Fund – Open

May 1, 2015

Community groups in Stockport who support children and young people, older people, the environment and health & well-being projects are invited to apply to the CDL Fund.

Stockport-based IT firm, CDL, is one of the UK’s largest insurance software houses. Its technology powers insurance transactions for brands such as eSure broker, Go Compare, Moneysupermarket and Tesco Bank. The company has thrived on the back of the innovative solutions created by its people, including online, mobile and telematics based technologies.

Throughout the company’s nearly 40 year history, it has remained committed to its roots in Stockport. It has developed a robust corporate social responsibility programme over the years, and is delighted to be working with Forever Manchester to support local projects.

Forever Manchester administers the CDL Fund, awarding grants to a range of community projects. The initiative particularly supports digital inclusion, education, employability, arts and culture and disadvantaged groups in society.

Previously supported projects include a Farm Hands scheme for people with disabilities at the Stockport Agricultural and Rural Centre and the Stockport Blind Ten Pin Bowling Club and Inspired Stockport, who run IT and basic skills courses. New applications are constantly under review.

Speaking of the CDL-Forever Manchester partnership, CDL Group Director, Melissa Johnson, reflects: “Visiting the groups and meeting the people that are using our funding to benefit their local communities has been inspirational. Over time we hope to build ongoing relationships with some of these groups, providing regular support for their activities.

“We intend to continue putting money into the CDL Fund each year to demonstrate our commitment to enabling such positive changes in the community, alongside our other corporate social responsibilities.”
