Captain Manchester’s Cool Runnings Award Runs for Second Year
In 2015 we piloted Captain Manchester’s Cool Runnings Award, which put our Corporate Partners up against each other and it’s back again in 2016.
The Great Manchester 10k will take place on 22nd May and go through both Manchester and Trafford.
The company that raises the most money will win Captain Manchester’s Cool Runnings Award. This will be a trophy for your company to have as a shrine to commemorate your achievements, and brag to all of the other businesses too, of course!
Now the biggest 10k in Britain, the race is getting bigger and better and we’re making it more competitive for you with the added bonus of winning a trophy alongside the shiny medal you get at the finish line.
The company that has raised the most money by a week after the event (Friday 27th May) will be awarded with Captain Manchester’s Cool Runnings Award at our First Friday event on Friday 3rd June.
Last year the award was jointly won by both Express Solicitors and AutoTrader, who between them raised over £10,000.
If you’re part of a smaller company, don’t worry – you still have a chance to win. The prize will be won by the company who has raised the most money per member of staff running in the competition. For example, if two members of your staff run and raise £1,000 they will beat a team of 11 members of staff raising £3,000.
The race is on, every penny counts – be sure to sign up today to Run for Round ‘ere. Every penny you raise will be reinvested across Greater Manchester.
We have charity places available to costing £25 instead of £38. With this £25 place you are committing to raising £150 for Forever Manchester.
See you on the 22nd!
