Ain’t No Mountain High Enough

September 12, 2016

“Ain’t no mountain high enough.” Well not for our friends and supporters at Brown Shipley. They decided to climb three!

The adventure started on Friday 2nd September, which they spent staying at a hostel at the bottom of Ben Nevis to set off at 7am Saturday morning.

On Saturday, a team of 22 Brown Shipley employees started their mammoth task – to climb three mountains: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Mount Snowdon, all in 24 hours! The three climbs amounted to 3,000 metres upwards with a walking distance of 26 miles, that’s not including the 460 miles they had to travel between the mountains!

They finished on Sunday morning at the bottom of Snowdon where they took a much needed shower and enjoyed a cooked breakfast!

So far they have raised £10,702.37 – beating their own target of £8,000!

A big Forever Manchester thank you for your heroic efforts!
