AT Engine Controls (ATEC) are a company based in Worsley, just off the East Lancs Road. They are a relatively small team of highly skilled people and they design and develop and manufacture computer based control systems for engines that often have to operate in very harsh environments.

They might be a small team but they have a worldwide reputation for delivering top quality  to some of the world’s most famous brands including Rolls Royce, EDF and BOEING and they operate anywhere from the UK to North America, to Egypt, to Australia.  Their MD Andrea Hough OBE is a proud Mancunian and nearly all ATEC employees are based in Greater Manchester – it’s great that a Greater Manchester-based company is making such an impact globally.

They have supported Forever Manchester since 2014 and regularly fundraise for us. They took part in Caketober for the first time this year and Beverley Abdulla, their Head of HR, said: “As we are a fairly small team, I wasn’t expecting too much from the event. We gave staff the option to come in fancy dress and bake a cake to raise money for Forever Manchester. Everyone really got in to the spirit of the event and I was surprised and delighted with the response and the money we raised.

ATEC have also bought a table at our Birthday Party, taking place on Friday 10th February at The Principal Manchester (formerly The Palace Hotel) in the city centre. They are drawing staff names out of a hat to see who will be coming. We think that is a great way to motivate your staff; having a great night out while raising valuable funds to help your local communities at the same time.

Nick Massey, Forever Manchester Chief Executive, said: “We’re delighted that ATEC are buying a table and are choosing to let their colleagues come along to our party. It’s a great way to properly engage with staff and support grassroots community projects, while enjoying the party.

Here’s to another two years working together with ATEC!
