Barclays Support Alan Running For Round Ere

April 1, 2015

Alan Budenberg, Vice President Portfolio Manager at Barclays Bank is running for round ‘ere in the Manchester Marathon on Sunday 19th April.

The marathon reaches four of the ten Greater Manchester boroughs, and will see Alan running through Manchester, Salford Trafford and Timperley on his 26 mile journey.

Alan has chosen to Run For Round Ere with the support of his employers, Barclays.

Barclays have agreed to match Alan’s funding pound for pound, meaning if you donate £10 to his fundraising page, we’ll receive £20.

To sponsor Alan and help raise money for Forever Manchester to help support community projects across Greater Manchester head to his JustGiving page.

Alan is a regular runner and completed the first Manchester Marathon in 2012 through the wind and rain, ran the London Marathon last year, although this year he is back running Manchester.

So far he has been training up to 20 miles, but as any marathon runners knows, the first 20 miles are easy, and it is the last 6 which are a bit tricky.

When we asked Alan about running for Forever Manchester he said “The Manchester Marathon is based around running through many of the communities in Manchester and so Forever Manchester was the obvious choice to support for the race. Also by supporting Forever Manchester the amounts we raise in sponsorship will make a difference to people in these communities, and stay in the area.”

Forever Manchester would like to thank Alan for choosing us, as well as Barclays for matching his fundraising efforts, meaning we get double the cash to give out to communities across Greater Manchester.
