Andrew Trott-Barn Shortlisted for Manchester Champion Award

December 4, 2015

Forever Manchester’s party planning pro and Ambassador, Andrew Trott-Barn has been nominated for a Made in Manchester Award.

The award Andrew is nominated for is The Manchester Champion Award. This category is aimed at an outstanding individual who has volunteered in the local community or with a Manchester-based charity to help to create real improvements for the City of Manchester or its inhabitants.

Andrew has been shortlisted because of the incredible work he does raising money for Forever Manchester, which is done on a completely voluntary basis with passion and pride.

Here at Forever Manchester we are very proud of Andrew’s nomination and extremely thankful that he continues to choose Forever Manchester as the beneficiary charity for all of his events.

Head of Business Development Jean Mills said: “We’re delighted Andrew has been shortlisted for The Manchester Champion Award at this year’s MIMAs. He’s been an outstanding Ambassador for Forever Manchester over the last 5 years.  Through his creative and innovative fundraising ideas at the annual Mirror Ball and Halloween Spooktacular events Andrew has raised over £200,000 to support grassroots community projects across Greater Manchester; making a real difference at a local level.”

Both The Mirror Ball and the Halloween Spooktacular events take place annually and always bring together a great crowd. The Mirror Ball has cemented itself strongly on the Manchester events calendar, so strongly in fact that it’s find itself selling out over 6 months in advance!

Andrew was also invited to the Queen’s Garden Party this summer to celebrate his work for Forever Manchester, and we believe this nomination is very well deserved.

The awards will take place on Thursday 4th February and we wish Andrew the best of luck on the night, either way, he’ll always be our Greater Manchester Champ!
