A Big Nice One to These Guys…
Our Corporate Partners were as busy as ever throughout the month of April. We’d like to say a huge thanks to the companies, who have helped us to raise awareness and raise money, enabling us to continue to support Greater Manchester communities and make it even greater.
A lot of stuff has been going on, including CDL hitting an incredible figure. They’ve now invested over £100,000 over the last three years to improve the communities of Stockport through their work with Forever Manchester.
Manchester Arena donated tickets once again for us to hand out to community groups, so in April volunteers across Greater Manchester headed to CBeebies Live and the kids loved every minute.
We also boogied April away thanks to Greater Manchester Police, who created a parody video raising awareness of Forever Manchester based on the latest Cadbury’s video featuring Bacara’s
famous hit ‘I Can Boogie’
We also had two brilliant events. Our Forever Manchester Women event (22nd April) which was kindly sponsored by Ward Hadaway and An Evening with Tony Walsh (29th April), which was kindly sponsored by Opus 4. Both of these events were a great success and happened thanks to the support of both of these companies – nice one!
The ever supportive Hard Rock Cafe also tallied up the total amount raised at the Hard Rock Rising events in March, which was £623, thanks guys!
Alan Budenberg, the Vice President Portfolio Manager at Barclay’s Bank was on the run in April, taking part in the Manchester Marathon. Barclay’s kindly matched Alan’s fundraising efforts for us pound for pound, bringing his total fundraising amount to £532 and still counting.
While on the subject of running for round ‘ere, we’d also like to thank AutoTrader, Metronet UK, One Advice and Express Solicitors, who all ran the 10k for us on 10th May and all competed for Captain Manchester’s Cool Runnings Award, which was won by both AutoTrader and Express Solicitors.
