“It hooks you like no other city, it doesn’t brag or boast but it should, because it’s a creative, industrial, culturally diverse hub of brilliantness.”

Mel has lived in Greater Manchester all her life, growing up in Burnage and Didsbury, and now living in Heaton Norris in Stockport.

As an ex-Forever Manchester employee, the charity is very close to Mel’s heart and she was delighted to take up an ambassadorial role when she left. In this time she’s raised money with Caketober, the deCASKthlon for Forever Manchester Week, and with a t-shirt inspired by Tony Walsh’s This Is the Place poem.
